Dream.

Executive Summary

Children’s Museum of the Galilee (CMG) will be located in the Galilee in Israel. The museum is based on the North American model of children’s museums with a focus on play-based learning and providing inspirational, informal, as well as formal learning experiences for children and young people. The Children’s Museum of the Galilee has non-profit (amutah) status in Israel. “Friends of Children’s Museum of the Galilee” is a 501(c)(3) non-profit in the United States and can provide tax receipts. Sponsorships are also available.

The CMG (HaLev in Hebrew, “The Heart”) is a place that sparks a passion for life long learning through creative exploration of science, art, and nature.
In the 1800’s archaeologist John Lubbock noted:
“In the same field the farmer will notice the crop, the geologists the fossils, botanists the flowers, artists the coloring, sportsmen the cover for the game. Though we may all look at the same things, it does not all follow that we should see them.”

CMG

  • Fosters the development of children’s strengths by providing an environment rich with resources.
  • Gives children a space to cultivate their interests, introduce them to new possibilities, and build confidence at a young age.
  • Establishes a place for children in the Galilee in Northern Israel and surrounding regions to develop, learn, grow, and dream freely.
  • Children will be nurtured through integrated experiences for all types of learning styles.
  • Gives tourists a happy and creative place to visit with their young children.

The success and growth of CMG means that the children who visit our museum are given the best start in life, a strong foundation to learn and grow their intelligence as they develop into adults.
