•As we march ahead in growth, Eli Moskowitz celebrates his 1-year anniversary as the Executive Director of the CMG project. With the visionary guiding hand of our founder, Laya Jackson and cofounder, Chaya Barth Schechter, Eli and the team have made amazing strides.
•Now that we know exactly where the museum will be built, architectural drawings are in progress. The selected Israeli architectural firm, Knafo Klimor is globally recognized in zero carbon footprint and on-site gray water systems. Knafo’s team is currently working on truly innovative and exciting plans for the museum; more details in the next newsletter. •Eli is also working to identify and cultivate Israeli corporations and institutions in geographical proximity who might be excited to be involved in the creation of this spectacular resource and family fun destination. Returning from an exhausting and exhilarating itinerary, the two adventurers brought home tales of 6 cities, 5 children’s museum and 4 science museum tour visits as well as reports from important meetings with potential donors, TIES in Cleveland, and with the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. (Palm Beach is connected to Israel’s northern development through the sister city relationship between Palm Beach and Tzahar (Tzvat, Hatzor, Rosh Pina.) •If you missed last quarter’s big announcement: The Mevo'ot HaHarmon regional council has allocated 17 dunams of land in Ramat Chorazim for the museum project. (17 dunam equals roughly 4.2 acres or 3 full American-size football fields.) The location is centrally located in the Galilee and is a “stone’s throw” from Tzahar and a slew of small communities throughout the Northern galilee.
