By Laya Saul Jackson So much of my daily work happens behind my desk. I'm often sitting in front of my computer drafting emails, writing grant proposals, or jumping on Zoom calls with dedicated leaders across northern Israel and generous foundations around the world. It is essential work, but every so often, I get to step out from behind the screen and witness the heart of our mission in action. Recently, I had the privilege of joining one of our Wonder Wheels mobile activities in person, and it filled my heart and soul with the exact joy that fuels this entire dream. I just couldn’t wait to show you a glimpse of what took place. Below are a few close-up photos capturing the magic of children completely absorbed in play. A Space for Choice, Wonder, and Discovery
What struck me most was seeing children across all age groups gathered together, exploring different corners and interactive stations. Every area was designed to spark curiosity and keep young minds fully engaged. The children had total freedom to choose where to go—spending as much time as they wanted at one station, or moving freely to another whenever inspiration struck. To be there and hear the air filled with laughter, chatter, and the happy sounds of engaged children was an absolute pleasure. Gratitude for Our Community and Team With every gift and every donation, I am continually in awe of the resilience and heroism of our community, working together to bring such uplifting transformation to our region. I hope this sample fills you with pride and joy. I must acknowledge and thank our incredible team in the field and in the office. From handling purchasing and complex logistics to serving as the kindest, most patient helpers working directly with the children; they do what it takes to bring warmth and play where it is needed most. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. The healing and joy in these photos belongs to you, too.

As I read your post, I couldn’t help thinking about what’s going on in the Middle East and how much of your government’s resources are spent on technology, defense, educational infrastructure, etc., in Southern Israelis However, what you’re doing and how you’re getting it done and accomplished from the ground roots up l, with limited government input, at this moment, is absolutely amazing. From what I’ve been told Norton Israel is very much under served for the minds of the young ones. However it is getting done.., Talk about resilience …..to you and your team ……. Now there’s resilience!! I looked at your archive of posts and they go all the way back to 2016. Yes, the conflict in that part of the world has slowed things down, but someday I look forward to walking through those doors of a beautiful children’s museum!! If you haven’t given, please , I have. It’s a wonderful feeling.
